2024 Parade Entry Form

This application is for the 2024 festival parade (Sep 21, 2024)
PARADE THEME: 150 YEARS OF NAPPANEE

Registration will be at the corner of Lincoln and Jackson (Henschen Oil). Entries will be judged based on originality, costume/dress, appearance and performance.

$100 Cash prize will be awarded for first place and $50 for second place in each category. $250 Grand prize for the Theme Winner. Judging will be between 9:15 and 10:00am in the parade staging area.

The Nappanee Apple Festival Parade is a family-oriented event and as such, the Nappanee Apple Festival Director has the right to disqualify any entry perceived as being inappropriate, unsafe, or not suitable for all family members. Additionally, any entry in the parade which misrepresents the nature of their entry or provides inaccurate contact information on their application shall not be allowed to participate in the parade.

If you have a child (anyone under the age of 18) that will be driving or riding on an ATV, Motorcycle and/or 3-4 wheeler, please download, fill-out and sign the parental consent form below and bring it to the parade registration on September 16, 2023. This is required.

Nappanee Apple Festival parade rules & regulations

  1. Check-in starts at 8:00 a.m. at the registration tent on the corner of Lincoln & Jackson Streets (Henschen Oil)

    • Please note that Lincoln will be ONE WAY heading east

  2. All entries must be in place by 9:15 a.m., or they will not be eligible for judging

  3. Judging will take place between 9:15 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

  4. Parade starts promptly at 10:30 a.m.

  5. Winners will be announced during the parade by the announcer

  6. Judges decisions are final

  7. NO stopping for any reason along parade route. This can cause accidents and delay parade progression.

  8. All entries much continue along parade route and they return to point of beginning. NO stopping to unload.

  9. Nappanee Apple Festival is not responsible for accidents

  10. No candy will be permitted to be thrown from moving vehicles; however, parade participants may distribute candy along the route by hand

  11. Cancellation: Will be posted on nappaneeapplefestival.org and facebook.com/napplefest

  12. ATV’s, Motorcycles, and 3-4 Wheelers:

    • No person under the age of 13 will be permitted to operate a vehicle

    • All individuals under the age of 18 must have signed parental consent form (download above)

    • Anyone under the age of 18 must wear a helmet

    • All of the vehicle’s wheels must stay on the surface at all times

    • One passenger will be allowed to ride, as long as the vehicle is equipped to handle two riders

    • Passengers must ride in the appropriate spot on vehicle

    • All vehicles must stay in formation and keep a constant speed along route
